I think that the World Cup 2010 has shown that FIFA needs to review the rules of the game, and the technology to enforce them. What do you think? Is Sepp Blatter right when he says that would be “taking away the spirit” of the game. Surely, the referee should have less of a hand in the outcome of a “fair game”?

I believe it is time to enforce the game to try and make it as fair as possible. This is the 21st century and in my opinion with all of this high tech camera technology we can be able to analyze almost every foul and play and make the right decision. Sure it does sort of ‘take the spirit out of the game” but is that really more important then having a fair game to choose who the real winner is. One example can be the US vs. Slovenia game that was an obvious clean goal but the referee saw it as a foul but later reviewing the play on tape you can see he made the wrong decision. Essentially technology should be enforced in soccer in my opinion at least.
